My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gracie Mae is a 7 year old green Quaker parrot and is a DNA tested female. She was housed with another Quaker and sun conure and they picked on her. Some of her neck feathers were plucked by them but the vet assured me they would grow back. I can already see some coming in. In addition, they would not let her eat much, so she is severely underweight. Since bringing her to my home, she has been eating pellets and nutriberries along with fresh fruits and vegetables. She especially enjoys sitting on my shoulder and being feed her fruits and vegetables by hand. She loves to be spoiled.
Being a Quaker, she is a little cage aggressive but eagerly comes out the cage door when opened. She then climbs to the top of her cage and easily steps up to my finger. She loves to rub her head and cheek on my hands and enjoys being petted on her head. She is not noisy and does not scream. Her favorite sleeping spot is her "tent" that is hung in the cage. She has a spiral rope perch and loves to play on it and bang her toys with her beak. She likes both men and women, as long as they shower her with attention. She is used to having dogs around.
