Sampson's Story...
Sampson is a 4 year old male, black and white Chow Chow Mix. Sampson's coat needed to be shaved down prior to him coming into rescue, but we bet he will have a gorgeous fluffy coat when it grows back in.

Sampson has just come into rescue and is settling in nicely. He is a very sweet guy and is loving all of the attention he is getting! We don't know alot about Sampson's past, but he doesn't seem to have alot of social experience and experience being handled - he was a little unsure about getting some eye drops, but figured out that no one was hurting him and was ok with it.

He likes to meet new people and is learning to be petted all over. Sampson does not appear to have had any previous obedience training, so we are beginning to work on some basic obedience and leash training with him.

More about Mr. Sampson soon!
A completed adoption application must be submitted to NBCR before you can be considered to adopt this dog. There is also a $180 adoption fee The application can be downloaded from our website or email karenbattreall and ask for an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sampson, a Bellevue Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
