It is hard to believe that a lovely dog like our Barry can end up on death row without a family looking for him, but it happened again. Barry walked out of the transport van with a big smile and his tail wagging and greeting everybody he encountered. He immediately did a sit and a paw and just loved snuggling. Barry is around 2-3 years old according to the shelter (could be even younger) and weighs around 50lbs, which is a good weight for him. He has a gorgeous, rich, long coat and beautiful smiling, brown eyes. He came to us completely matted and our wonderful groomer did a great job brushing him out and cutting out his mats, to end the spa treatment with a bath. Barry has an unusual, but cute hairdo right now, since part of the matted coat had to be shaved. It won't take long for him to regrow his lovely coat that will require regular brushing. Barry is a very good boy and he enjoys getting brushed and being the center of attention. He is social and friendly with people and other dogs, it is hard to ask for more. Barry seems to be housebroken too and well-behaved in the house. Just a lovely, happy boy overall. Barry is up-to-date on his shots and he is neutered. He is looking for a family to love and entertain, a family that will love and cherish him forever.
It is our policy not to place our dogs into homes with young children since we don't have foster homes with young children to evaluate the dogs. The adoption begins with the adoption application: we do not have the manpower to respond to detailed inquiries before we receive the application. Our adoption procedures are described on the home page, please read them carefully. A donation of $275 is required at the time of adoption. If you can offer our sweetheart Barry a loving forever home, please submit an on-line application by
