Princess's Story...
Princess is a 9-10 year old Bichon. She is just a little bitty thing weighing 8 lbs. Prinny lives in a foster home with 5 other dogs (large and small) and 3 cats. She has not met cats before and is very curious but displays absolutely no aggression towards them. Prinny loves to go for walks, is completely housetrained, rides beautifully in the car, likes to sit and cuddle with you and dances with excitement when you come home. She may have a little arthritis in her hind legs but it does not slow her down much at all, she walks well, runs and can usually do stairs. Prinny is just a complete and utter love! She would do best in a home with no children. To adopt Princess please email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess, a Wilmington Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
