My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NITIAL BIO 08/06/2012: Well hello there! My name is Aubrey, and boy do I have a "tail" to tell! My mommy, Cheri, was rescued by UYR just in the nick of time. See, she was a stray at a very high kill shelter. She was matted to the skin and had to be shaved. So, I was saved (but nobody knew I was there).

Normally, every dog that leaves the shelter is spayed or neutered before they go home. Turns out the shelter didn't have time to spay her so UYR took her knowing they were going to have to pay to have her spayed at her foster mom's vet in Orlando...... So, I was saved again!

Well, foster mommy was very busy and didn't have time to schedule my momma's spay until June 28th. She brought momma in and the vets put her under anesthesia so they could "fix" her. Well, when they got in there, they noticed a little bump inside. (THAT WAS ME!!). It would have been easy for them to go ahead and fix her but instead they called foster momma. I was pretty far along so foster mom said "no way Jose! We're having a baby!". Only 4 short days later, I was born. I was the only puppy born (which is rare).

I am currently 5 weeks old and weigh 2 lb. We aren't sure exactly what I am, but we sure do know I'm a cutie. I am being fostered in Orlando and would love to go to an active home, preferably with another dog to play with. Keep in mind I am going to keep on growing for quite a while! Anyway, I'm looking for someone to save me one last time ;) Xoxo - Aubrey
