Twilight's Story...
Twilight is a 4 1/2 year old Husky. She has the most amazing blue eyes. She was brought into the shelter because she does not do well with cats. She had been with her previous owner for 2 years and being here at the shelter has given her some separation anxiety. She is a very sweet dog and knows how to sit and walks well on a leash. She is also very good about letting you know when she has to go potty. We do feel that she may be too much for children, so we recommend that she is adopted into a home that if children are present, they should be 14 years old or older.
Adoption fees include spaying or neutering, vaccinations (excluding Rabies), ID microchip, collar, a dog training DVD, de-worming treatments, flea/ ear mite treatments, and temperament testing. There will be an addition to the adoption price, if you reside in our county, and you want to obtain a current dog license from ...

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Twilight, a Chambersburg German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Chambersburg, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Chambersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chambersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chambersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chambersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
