Luca's Story...
Mina and Luca are about 7 months old. They are WONDERFUL dogs! They have been raised around small children, but they still do jump and are big puppies with lots of energy. I will adopt them to a family with small children, but only to someone willing to work on discipline with them. They are very bonded and are brother and sister. They can be adopted together or separately. Sigh. I do love these two and we have been through a lot with this litter. Mina and Luca are high energy dogs and need a busy family to love them and give them the exercise and support that they need to continue being wonderful loving dogs! Both Luca and Mina are submissive. They love to roll over on their backs and have their bellies rubbed. The also like to lay in your lap like a baby and be rubbed (if your lap is big enough)! They LOVE their crates and will go in there to take a nap during the day and automatically crate- they run right in the house directly to their crates at night. They sleep all night. Both dogs love chewie toys. If you think that you are the special home for my Mina and Luca please visit www.barkaritaville.org and complet our adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luca, a Sterling Heights Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
