My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Bolt" or "Boltie" as I call him, is a 2 year old, 12 pound (purse size) male terrier mix from the Lancaster shelter. He is a very good boy, and we can only assume his previous owner perhaps had some sort of personal hardships and could not keep him, as he was an owner surrender. This is my first "foster" doggie and I couldn’t ask for a better one!

He is the sweetest boy that just wants love and attention. He loves to go for walks, as well as to be carried around! He is happy to see me when I have gotten home after being out, jumping all over me with excitement. He waits at the door when he knows I am going somewhere, because he loves to go with me. He doesn't want to miss anything!

Bolt is great in the car, with kids and even with other dogs. We are not sure about cats as I don't have one at this time, but my guess is he would be fine. He's a very gentle boy. Recently when I was upset about something, Boltie knew and just could not get close enough to me to give me his comforting.

He loves to sneak in kisses and just loves to be held and petted. Bolt will nudge your hand if you stop petting him because he just doesn't want you to stop!

Boltie is potty trained and has never had an "accident" while in my care (2 months)!

Did I mention he loves to go for walks? He would walk for miles and miles!
When the leash comes out, he is very excited.

A quirky thing he does is that he lays in the rimmed dog bed, clamping down on the edge with his mouth, eyes closed, and he'll knead the bed with his paws like a cat. It's the funniest thing and I think it's a comfort thing. It’s probably something he did since he was a puppy. It's so cute!

Bolt is currently in a foster home and waiting for meet his furever family so his foster momma can save another dog from the shelter system.
