Chiffon's Story...
Chiffon is one of the 35 cats/kittens we got from a breeder who passed away in the summer of 2011. She is a 3yr old "Maine Coon" -These cats have not had much human contact. We have been working with them on social skills. They are great with each other but when a new person enters the room they run for their individual perches or hidey holes. They don't retreat completely with people they know but they still do not come to us for petting. I can pet Chiffon if she is in the right mood. If not, she will give a half hearted swat with her polydactyl paws. As with all cats adopted through PAWS, Chiffon has been spayed, vetted, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Our Adoption Process...
By adopting from PAWS, you not only gain a loving companion – you save a life! We have an enormous variety of animals to choose from -- purebreds, mixed breeds, all ages and personalities -- and our adoption counselors are specially trained to help you choose the pet that's a perfect fit.You must complete the Adoption Application. Visit us at the Cat Adoption Center or call 206-780-0656 or 866-780-0656 to schedule a "Meet & Greet" if you would like to meet a specific pet. PAWS requires that our animals be spayed or neutered before they are adopted. We also require the permission of your landlord if you're renting your home. After you adopt a pet, we expect that you'll have it properly licensed and provide it with a lifetime of responsible care, including nutritious food, fresh water, adequate exercise and regular veterinary visits. And, of course, a lot of love! Adoption donations are $110 for adult cats. Bonded pairs are $175.
