Barney's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Barney's Story...
Hi, I'm Barney, a three year old Golden Retriever/mix. I was rescued from Columbus County Animal Control on the day I was supposed to go to sleep, whatever that means. Luckily, a nice family offered to foster me and I love being in my new home! My family says I am so laid back and sweet. I love to play ball and am quite the catcher! I am housebroken and know commands already. I'm really smart! I get along great with my foster family's dog, but like to chase their cat every now and again. He doesn't like to play with me, so I have decided to leave him alone. I would make a great addition to any family looking for a big, gentle guy like me.

Our adoption fee is $200, which includes spay/neuter, microchip and up-to-date on vaccines. All monies go toward rescuing more animals from high-kill shelters.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Raleigh Golden Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Raleigh, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Raleigh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Raleigh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Raleigh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Raleigh paves the way for another one to be saved.
