Pip's Story...
Pip and her two brothers were found by the side of the road with their mother who had been hit by a car. Their poor mother was dead but they didn't want to leave her side. An "Angel" gathered them up and called Animal Advocates to see if we could help. The three kittens are together in foster care and are in perfect health and very active and curious. They all are very affectionate and would make a perfect addition to any family! Animal Advocates of Moore County is committed to all aspects of animal welfare including spay/neuter, animal cruelty and animal rescue accompanied by community education and diligence toward humane legislation. We promote compassion and protection for all animals. Animal Advocates is not a shelter. We rely on fosters to give our animals a great start towards finding their forever homes. Animal Advocates will have cats "in residence" at Petsmart in Aberdeen NC during the months of January, June and November in 2012. Animal Advocates is at Petsense 2414 Horner Blvd in Sanford NC with adoptable dogs most Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Adoptable cats are "in residence" at the store. Become a friend of AnimalAdvocates MooreCounty on Facebook! Adopters must fill out an adoption contract. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pip, a Pinehurst Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Pinehurst, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Pinehurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pinehurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pinehurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pinehurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
