Minina's Story...
Minina is a gorgeous, sleek and elegant 1 year old kitty in her "little black dress"!

She loves to look out the window at the world going by and is particularly interested in the birds in the trees. Many times her foster mom sees Minina relaxing and stretching in the window seat upside-down and in impossible poses.

Minina licks your hands and arms affectionately when she is being held. She gets a kick out of her laser light toy, but is so smart, that she knows where the light is coming from

Minina has learned to get along with the other kitties in her foster home. Her new home should not have young children.

Minina was rescued from a local shelter.

She is spayed, has tested negative for FIV & Feline Leukemia and is up to date on her vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minina, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
