Jibby's Story...
Looking for Fun + Smart ? Well then I am your boy! I am a happy, playful dog who has had a family but never the structure or socialization that I truly needed. I really want to be good boy, I just get nervous and fearful in new situations. I do have so many great qualities- I have had some training and I know how to “sit, stay, come, outside & bye bye”! Oh I love car rides!! And my favorite game is playing fetch. I know not to go potty in the house and I am fully crate trained. I truly am a great companion pet as I am so incredibly eager to follow rules and will do anything to please you. I love people and I love to play, but if I get scared or startled I just react defensively. So a home without young children is a must. I have even lived with cats and I just ignored them! Think you can handle an insecure boy? Think you can give me the structure I need? Think you can handle the love I have to share? 3 years old- 45lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced cost Training Class, 1 month pet health insurance, free vet exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jibby, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
