My story

"Hi everybody! My name is SPARKLE, and I'm a Chihuahua mix gal who is about nine months old. My name is very fitting, since I light up a room with my playful energy. I'm a fun-loving, happy little pooch that loves to run around the play yard and chase toys, and I also love to stop for kisses, snuggles, and tummy rubs. I have a beautiful, creamy coat, and I enjoy getting brushed. I'm a great size to be a house dog (or apartment dog), and I'd need just a small yard or a daily walk to get my daily exercise. I get along great with other dogs, and I'd probably love to have another dog in my new home that also loves to play. I'm still learning good manners, so I would do best in a home with older children. I am young and eager to learn new things with your loving, patient guidance. Since I feel safe in my kennel here at the shelter, I might be unsure about you when you come to visit me. Once I get out into the play yard, and especially after I get to know you better, I'll give you all of my love and trust. Please come visit me at the El Cajon Animal Shelter in kennel #7, then ask the staff if we can get better acquainted in the play yard. We will have lots of fun together! Love, Sparkle"
