My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Scout! Scout is a 3 year old Cattle dog/Staffie mix who originally hails from Tennessee. Scout is staying with a family in New England who'd like to help her find her a forever home with a big yard. The family reports that Scout has been a perfect house guest- no accidents, no chewing and they've only once heard her bark.
Scout has a great disposition. She's been very respectful to her senior dog companion and seems to love all other dogs. She would do very well with a younger doggie mate(s) who can match her speed and playfulness. Scout has actually made great friends with two big dogs in the neighborhood, who don't mind her attempts to herd them around. As she is a cattle dog, she does love to herd & chase- so she'd do well with a family with older children and a fenced in yard. If you need bunnies or squirrels chased out of your yard, this dog will be in heaven.
Scout is gorgeous- small and compact (approximately 35lbs) with a shiny black coat and beautiful black & white flecked tuxedo markings. (sweet little white paws with black flecks too!) She is so loving and affectionate-- offering up her belly whenever you pass by! She is calm and quiet at home, but always up for whatever you're doing. Help us find the right home for this lovely little girl.
