Fawn-Adoption Pending's Story...
Fawn is a micro-mini smooth red female dachshund. Fawn weighs 6 pounds and is about a year and a half old. She was found stray in a rural area and came to dachshund rescue so she can get the good home she so deserves.

Fawn was cautious but curious when she arrived. She quickly found that she was in a loving foster home and was happy with her new lap dog status. Fawn is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She gets along well with all the other dogs in the foster home.

Fawn needs a home without young children and no other female dogs. She will be happy as an only dog or with a canine brother. If you are looking for a tiny dachshund to go everywhere with you, Fawn would love to be your special girl.

Fawn's adoption fee is $400. Application on line at www.scdr.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fawn-Adoption Pending, a San Jose Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in San Jose, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in San Jose.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Jose already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Jose breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Jose paves the way for another one to be saved.
