My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peggy Sue is a Jack Russell Terrier mix (spayed female) approx. 3 years old, who was found on a main highway, abandoned or lost. She weighed 24 lbs. when found but has been very active in the back yard and playing with other dogs, and is now a healthy 18 lbs. Her teeth are clean and she has the happiest smile all the time. Peggy Sue watches her foster mom and picks up on body language very quickly, and has already learned 4 commands and directions by point. She “stays” smartly when the garage door goes up or down, and she does not rush the door or gate, or try to escape the yard. She plays well with the resident large dog and they work as a team to catch lizards and frogs. Peggy Sue loves to explore the outdoors, play with other dogs and play tug with her foster mom. She is housebroken and calm inside unless at play, and she loves to snuggle next to you and give kisses (she likes to sleep under the covers if allowed). Peggy will alert you to passersby’s or unusual noises, but she is not a barker. The best thing about Peggy is her love of people, especially children. She would make a wonderful family dog, but this girl would fit in any household, large or small, and is an all around great little dog.
