My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frankie – male, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, ~1yr, ~30lbs, Pug mix.

Surrender from private home. Frankie was obtained from an ad online a few months ago however he seems to be a bit too playful for the current small dog in the home so he’s searching for a new Forever Home this time!

Frankie has come to us as a Pug/Terrier mix but seems rather large for the mix. We suspect he is more likely to be a Puggle (Pug/Beagle). He has beautiful unique markings for the mix outside of the typical fawn/black mask.

Frankie is a loveable, sociable guy, he just loves to be the center of attention with anyone he meets! He is good with respectful children and other dogs, he is also fine around cats. Frankie would be a great second dog the same size or larger than him, he is energetic and can be a little too playful for smaller or more timid dogs. He would also be fine as the only dog in the home. Frankie has been to obedience school and knows all his basic commands, he is house trained and crate trained. He is used to someone being home in the day and would be great for a stay at home mom with children old enough to help with his feeding, walking, play time in the yard etc. but he would also be fine in a home where the family is gone for typical 9-5 work hours providing he got enough exercise. Frankie is used to sleeping in his crate at night and should be crated when left alone in the day, he is still a young guy and may choose to entertain himself if not crated or given limited roam of the home. Frankie loves his chewies, butcher marrow bones or a Kong toy with snacks in it – he is super careful and gentle when taking his treats! He travels well in the car and loves to be outdoorsy with his family. Frankie needs a good energetic walk every day, he loves play time at the dog parks too! This active boy is sure to make a great addition to a family looking to go for lots of walks and hikes with a loyal, social companion dog. We feel Frankie is best suited to a house with a fenced yard (maybe with kids that can run around with him in the yard!).
