My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am now in a foster home where I am happy and doing well until I find a new home.

My name is Star and I am a red and white, 6 year old cocker girl. As you can see from my picture, I only have one eye. I came to rescue along with 7 other dogs, from a breeder who claimed that she could no longer take care of us. 6 of my sibblings found homes awhile back and then it was just my brother and I waiting for our forever homes. Due to an ear infection that was obviously overlooked and never properly treated by our owner, he had a permanent slight head tilt and was never adopted. But, then he got lucky just a few months ago, and he found a great home with a very nice couple. Now I really want my new forever home too.

I am a real sweet, very nice girl. I like spending time with my human companion and I am very dog social. When I arrived here with my sibblings, my eye was not in good shape due to an injury and obvious neglect from my breeder to get proper care for me. These nice CCR folks actually tried to save me from having it removed, but it just wasn't an option. I am a healthy girl and I have adjusted well, so my one eye gets me around just fine. I would love to find my way to a great home with someone who will love me and care for me because I am special. Having only one eye is not that different and should not keep someone from adopting me. I am a happy girl with a wonderful, loving disposition. Please give me the chance that I deserve to have a happy life and a great home. Come to see me . . . . . I would love to meet you . . .then you can see for yourself just how special I really am.

If you are interested in adopting this sweet cocker girl, please send an email to: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300 which
includes all the vetting and medical needs for the dog.
