Anne's Story...
2 year old Anne (and her brother Dan) were found alongside a rural road when they were just pups. A very kind lady had them spayed/neutered, but they proved to be too much for her. They are good dogs - it just wasn't a very good time in her life for puppies. We would like to see Dan and Anne go to homes with other pets. Dan is very frightened of new people, but has been such a sweet, gentle soul. Anne is more social - and will make the transition to a new life easier. Though they may be better off in separate homes, we do feel that each of them needs the company of another dog. If you would like to offer Dan a forever home, please submit an application which you can find on our website (www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anne, a Capon Bridge Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Capon Bridge, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Capon Bridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Capon Bridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Capon Bridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Capon Bridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
