My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ten month old Sasha was found along with her littermate abandoned at a gas station. Efforts to find their owner failed and the finder kept the dogs in his back yard for the next four months. Then when Sasha went into heat, he realized he was soon going to have a lot more dogs if he didn’t do something and fast. The result is that Sasha and her brother made their way to rescue to get vet care and to find a good home.

Sasha is very affectionate. She loves to sit on laps. She enjoys playing with toys and chewing (typical puppy behaviors). Daily walks would send her over the moon.

Sasha has legs just a little bit longer than the average dachshund so she might only be a “mostly” dachshund. These longer legs means she can go to a home with stairs. He would be fine with a canine sibling. If you want a pair, she looks great with her brother, Heinz.

Sasha is a longhair but it is “short” long hair. Mostly it’s fluffy ears so her grooming needs are not as significant as for other long hairs. Sasha has learned to sleep in a crate. She Is now spayed, micro chipped and current on her vaccinations.
