I am already neutered and up to date with shots.
We were coming home late one Friday afternoon, after the puppies' first car trip and vet visit, when
we spotted a little black terrier, running aimlessly a block from True Blue Friends. We don't know if someone
meant to leave him at our house or if he was just lost. We followed him in our car and tried to catch him,
but he kept running. A neighbor said, "Oh, yeah, he's been sleeping under that truck, there, the past two nights."
Luckily, my friend and neighbor, fellow rescurer, Estelle Mack, who is the "Queen of Humane Trapping"
just happened to be a few blocks away, along with her trap. So, Estelle set the trap, near the truck, and not 10 minuets later, the poor, hungry runaway we named "Oliver" was lured in by the smell of food. As soon as we carried the trap into the house and let Oliver out in the living room, he was given a warm greeting by Madonna's puppies . For some reason, over all the other rescue dogs, her puppies fell head over paws in love with shy, little Oliver. They think of him as their long lost dad or uncle. As soon as they wake up in the morning, they go looking for "Oliver." We're not sure what breed mix he is. Some say Cairn Terrier. He is mostly black with shades of brown in his coat, and has cute, little pricked ears, like a Skye Terrier. He was not neutered or microchipped and had no ID. He tested HW + but because he is so young, 1-2 years, the vet has put him on a soft treatment of doxycylene and feels he will test negative in a year's time. He is very sweet, hardly ever barks, and just blossoms daily with the attention he is receiving, A perfect little gentleman, Oliver would love to make your acquaintance at this Tuesday's Rice U Farmer's Market.
