Carolina's Story...
Hi, my name's Carolina! Thanks for stopping to look at my page! I was found as a stray and brought into the shelter. Since I was a stray they don't know much about me. They're guessing I'm a beagle / pointer mix, and am around 3 years old. I'm good with other dogs and cats, we're not sure how I am with kids yet. I'm pretty shy and timid right now, but the shelter is a new environment for me so that might change over time. Before I'm adopted I will be up to date on shots, spayed, and have a microchip. Now all I need is someone to love me and give me a home. Do you think you have room in your house and heart for a sweet girl like me? The shelter is open on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 1-8 and Wednesday's and Friday's from 1-5, come visit me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carolina, a Youngwood Beagle/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Pointer for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Beagle/Pointer dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Pointer breeders who help with Beagle/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
