Tessa's Story...
Tessa was found after her owner died and the other family members abandoned her at the home. She faithfully stayed on her porch waiting for an old man who would never come back. McNairy County Humane Society got involved and started feeding her and the other abandoned dog until we could legally get custody. Tessa was found giving birth and only one pup survived.
Tessa is a wonderful girl, probably 3-5 years old, tested heartworm negative and she deserves a second chance with a family. Please email for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Monroe Great Pyrenees/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
