Cicero's Story...
This handsome gray kitten with white mittens is Cicero. He is approximately 11 weeks old as of 8/27/12. He came to Tenth Life after his rescurer found him and his brother Caesar in a bag at the side of Kingshighway in 100+ degree heat when they were only 4 weeks old. Unfortunately, they had other siblings that weren’t so lucky which makes their brotherly bond even more special. We can’t imagine anyone tossing these handsome boys aside, but lucky for them Tenth Life came to the rescue.

Cicero is a very outgoing and social kitty. He loves to play with his brother as well as his foster sister, Indra. He is totally laid back when it comes to meeting the public at adoption events, car rides and other cats. He is still a little intimated by dogs but he is being introduced to them in his foster home and getting more comfortable with them.

Cicero is also one of the MOST affectionate kittens you will ever meet. At such a young age, he already loves being cuddled and petted. Not only that, but he communicates by purr talking and will rub his mouth and cheek across your face in affection. His foster mommy foresees him being a total lap kitty as he gets older. Cicero would do great with another cat to play with or better yet, with his brother Caesar. Please consider giving this handsome baby his FUREVER home.

About Our Rescue Group...
Tenth Life is an animal welfare organization that provides another chance at life to injured and abused stray cats. Our focus is on felines with extreme medical needs or ongoing conditions that make it difficult for typical shelters to afford their care.

Stage one of our mission is getting needy cats off the streets of St. Louis and into caring Foster Homes, where they await their forever homes. Stage two´s goal is to open a shelter building that will house special-needs kitties in a cage-free, no-kill setting until they can be carefully placed in their forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters are required to complete a comprehensive application and interview, and will need to supply proper identification, as well as personal and veterinary references. Our adoption fee is $100 for kittens 6 months or younger, and $75 for any cat over six months of age. Our fee includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccines to-date of adoption, and a microchip. Once approved, all adopters are required to sign an adoption contract.

  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
