Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Isn't Gramps just about the cutest guy you've ever seen? This handsome senior comes to us from Kern County, CA. Found as a stray, and in terrible shape, this guy has rebounded to be a happy, energetic dog. We think he's around 10 years old.
Like most dogs his age, Gramps loves to sit in the sun and lounge on the couch. But if there's a ball in your hand, he turns into a puppy all over again and will play non-stop if you can keep up!
We think Gramps was a country dog before he came to us, so his manners aren't yet refined. He has some separation anxiety, so he'll try to get out of the yard if possible. And he would do best crated or left in an indestructible room when left alone. He's also a little hard-of-hearing, so he takes some coaxing to go outside, especially since he likes to sleep all day!
Gramps is mostly house-trained but might take a a week or two to get into a new routine. He loves kids and gets along great with other dogs. We're not sure how he is around cats, but with his laid-back, loving nature, we think he'd be a pushover.
When Gramps was found he was in bad shape. He was covered in ticks, had a severe bladder infection, was underweight, and had 7 teeth that were abscessed. He has since been cleaned up, gained some weight, cured of his bladder infection and had all but 4 of his teeth pulled. He's almost like new!
Gramps is neutered, microchipped, and current on all his shots.
Won't you please make Gramps your next family member? We know you wouldn't regret it!
