Petey von Preetz's Story...
Petey von Preetz is an adorable 2 year old Shepherd mix on the smaller side. Petey is housetrained and calm. When we tried to brush out his heavily-matted fur when we first rescued him, he laid quietly and did not react to the pulling and snagging of the brush. He likes to be touched and hugged. Petey gets along well with other dogs and walks well on the leash. He is a tolerant boy who will probably be good with children. Our kennel staff consider Petey an all-round great dog. That soulful, searching look in his eyes is for his next owner.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey von Preetz, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
