Denver, along with his sister Jersey and mom Phoenix, were left abandoned outside when their family moved away. The pups were born in early July 2012 and likely had always lived outside. We are not sure of their breed but mom is about 35 or 40 pounds and looks like a small Labrador Retriever with a Whippet-like head and face - father is unknown. Denver will grow to at least his mom's size and possibly a bit bigger but probably not much more than 50 pounds. Puppies are a lot of work and not for everyone. They need structure as well as love in order to grow into good canine citizens. Someone home a lot and bringing Denver to puppy training classes will reinforce good behaviour and socialization. Neutering, along with deworming and vaccinations while Denver is with the rescue, are included in the adoption fee.
