Harley's Story...
Harley is a young (approximately 8 months old as of mid November 2012) male shepherd/golden retriever mix dog. He and another dog (Haley) were found wandering along a road in rural Arkansas on 9/2/12, and no one has come forward to claim him.

Harley is an absolutely wonderful dog. He is very loving and affectionate, loves to cuddle up to you, and gets along with other dogs. He walks well on a leash, but could use a little bit more training.

Harley has been neutered and is up to date on his immunizations. If you would like to make Harley a part of your family, please contact Gail Ross at 870-431-8229 or via email at gailspets@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Oakland Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
