Sage's Story...
Sage is such a silly girl! She is part of a litter that was left behind last summer, along with their mother, without a thought. She was brought into the care of one or our southern volunteers where she stayed for several months and is now living in the home of a wonderful foster home in CT. She is somewhat timid upon first meeting her, but once she is comfortable she shows the happy playful side. This gorgeous pup we believe to be part Whippet, perhaps some lab....maybe some boxer...we really don't know all that can be in her, but she is such a beautiful girl with unique coloring. She is about 35 pounds, house trained, does well in a crate, gets along with other dogs, and does well with children. She is fully up to date on all of her shots and ready for her forever home. If you think she might be a good fit for you please let us know.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sage, a Williston Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Whippet for sale in Williston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog from a breeder in Williston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Whippet breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williston paves the way for another one to be saved.
