Smokey's Story...
Like his littermates, Smokey was found in a backyard with their mother. Even with that shaky start, he’s a people kitty! Smokey loves to be petted, held and hugged. He’s bold and outgoing and hasn’t met a person that he doesn’t like.

Smokey is litter box trained and all he needs is his permanent home. He plays well with his brothers and sisters and would make a fabulous addition to any home.

If you’re looking for a kitty to love, Smokey is the boy for you! Did I mention he loves attention?? Come by and meet this little guy, he’ll steal your heart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a Houston Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
