Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Mister. I have to tell you that I am very, very special to the people at Haven at the Inn. I have stayed with them a very long time waiting until I was ready for a new family. When I first came I was so terrified of people that the veterinarian had to give me my vaccinations inside the travel crate that I was in. You see I lived a horrible life cramped into a filthy cage in a place where nobody was every nice to me or any of the other dogs who lived there. I had no idea that people could ever be kind to me. It was a long, long time before I would let anyone touch me. And even then I was so very, very scared that I would shake and try to defend myself. Well silly me. It took me a long time (thank goodness the people here are so very patient) but I finally figured out that people are really pretty great!. Now I am still not absolutely sure that new people I meet might not be mean to me so I may try to go hide in a corner when strangers come around but after a few minutes I will come out to meet them. I love to be picked up and my tail wags so hard. I even stand pretty still for bathes and getting my hair cut (though I still am very scared when the people clip around my tootsies!) I know how to come inside when I am called and I LOVE to sleep on the sofa or inside my little house. I would especially like to live in a house with another dog because when my doggie friends are not scared of things I know that I don't need to be scared either. I am a super special boy and have had such a hard life but I am finally ready to find people of my own. I sure hope to meet you soon! And just a reminder ... you can drop by any day between one and five pm to meet me!
