My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ADOPT ONLY WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

Bahumut is a smart, affable, affectionate boy. His name comes from a fantasy role playing game but the only role he plays is that of a typical Husky youngster. He has no call name or nickname as yet but Bahumut seems kinda long. We don’t see people yelling “BAHUMUT!” when he’s at the other end of the dog park. Some have suggested Bahu or Bam (Bammy).

He understands a whole bunch of commands. In addition to sit, paw, and come, he knows other paw, down, up, high five, stay, and get back. Bam is a very playful boy with his foster sisters and loves to run in the yard. Lizards look out, as he will chase you down. He really likes going anywhere with his humans and enjoys his daily walks. He walks well on lead, only pulling a little or when there is something in which he is interested, especially a lizard.

Bahumut reacts well with other Huskies and dogs his own size but remains untested with smaller dogs, small animals and cats.

He is not a happy camper being crated and has proven himself to be trustworthy when left alone, out of the crate - especially if he has enough toys and chew things to keep him entertained, even better if he has a playmate or two. Don't let his warm brown eyes distract you too much as this boy is an escape artist. While he is not a digger, he will try to slip out a door or even take a shot at jumping a six foot fence. The boy has some major bounce in his hind legs.

Bahumut loves to both give and receive hugs. He is happiest when he can snuggle right up next to you. He'll rest his head on your lap and look at you with his warm brown eyes, kind of sending you thought waves asking to be petted. If you walk away from him, he won't be too far behind wondering why you stopped petting him. He is a mellow Husky for his young age and very submissive and easy going. He prefers to lie on the cool tile floors rather than in a dog bed and doesn't jump on furniture.

Bahumut is healthy, heartworm negative, neutered, housebroken, micro-chipped, and up to date on all his shots. This cuddly boy will add warmth and contentment to your life. Give him the chance to show you how much he can make the world’s problems seem more distant when he curls up right next to you.
