My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Presenting: Charlotte Cocker Rescue's Mascot................He Is Not Available for Adoption.

My name is Carter and I am a happy boy and doing well. I am CCR's mascot and my home is here at the rescue. I am honored to have this title! I am a very sweet, really nice, 9 year old, blonde cocker boy and I only have 3 legs after losing a foot that had never been properly taken care of, and then I lost my leg as there were no other options. I have adjusted well and I get along just fine because CCR came to my rescue when I was left at a shelter and in need of someone's help or I would have died. I am not available to be adopted out, as I am representing all of the very deserving cockers here at CCR, who are waiting in rescue and in need of good homes. I was brought to CCR after being picked up at a NC shelter and in need of emergency surgery to save my life. Unfortunately, the vet could not save my leg as it seemed to be from an injury awhile back that had healed over but was never taken care of properly by my owners. My foot had just fallen off. Or, quite possibly it may have been strangled from a tightly placed rubber band that had been there quite awhile, so I lost my foot from dragging it to get around. I am so lucky that these very caring CCR folks came to get me . . . and I got my happiness back, because someone actually cared about me. Please help Charlotte Cocker Rescue located in Kannapolis, NC, to find these very deserving cockers that are shown on this site, the homes that they deserve. Take a look and see if any of these CCR cocker babies touch your heart and deserve a loving home with you or maybe someone you know. I just know that they would love to meet you! Take a peek at our dogs, fill out an application and get approved. Maybe we have the perfect new best friend for you to add to your family............

If you would like to donate to help with the care of all of my rescue buddies, I would appreciate your kindness. These CCR folks are taking good care of me, I am doing well and I am very happy to have someone who really loves me for the special cocker boy that I am, even though I only have 3 legs.
