My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

River – is an extremely beautiful black boy around 2 years old and weighs approximately 65 lbs. River is a young lab mix who came from a high kill shelter where he found himself after being picked up as a stray. Everyone loves River from the second they meet him. He is such a sweet and gentle boy who needs a special person to help him with a confidence problem. He just makes you want to hug him and protect him and tell him everything is going to be okay now. Things will only get better. River gets along great with other dogs and would be a push-over with the kitties. He is great with people of all ages, but just timid with new surroundings and things. Once he realizes that everything is good, he is good. That beautiful sweet face says it all and could warm any heart. He would be considered a low/medium energy boy. He likes being with people and would be a great candidate for a walking or a just hanging out partner, and cuddling in front of the TV would be fantastic.
River is neutered, up to date on vaccinations including rabies, and micro-chipped. He is crate trained and this special boy is looking for that special person to help him know that life is great. With a little TLC and patience, he would be a perfect companion for the person looking for the love of their life.
