Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charlie – female, vet checked, vaccinated, heartworm tested (-), tx Revolution flea/heartworm preventative, spayed, ~2yrs, ~9lbs, Silky Terrier.
Surrender from private home. Due to a new baby in the home Charlie’s owner’s no longer have time for her.

Charlie is a super sweet little girl. She’d love to be someone’s little companion dog who joins them on all their errands or goes to the office with them. She wastes no time in rolling over for belly rubs with those she is comfortable with. Charlie is better suited to a home with no children under 12yrs of age, small, bouncy and noisy children make her nervous and she may growl. She is good with other dogs of all sizes but may bark at other dogs on walks when she wants to meet them. This habit only started to become a problem after the new baby in the home and reduced time was spent walking and exercising Charlie. Even though she is smaller she is a Terrier and needs regular daily exercise, routine and a confidant owner. She has not lived with cats but seems to be fine with the canine savvy ones in her current foster home. Charlie has been to basic training, she is crate trained and house trained. She loves to get outdoors or just hang around the house and just generally likes to be with her owner. She seems to prefer women to men, she can be nervous around new men that are not part of her household but with time and patience warms up. Charlie would be perfect for a mature home (maybe a woman or mother and older daughter?) that can give her back the stability, attention and exercise she needs. She can be left for the typical 9-5 work hours and is given free roam of her home without issue but she’d love to come to work with you! Charlie is easily trained, eager to learn and willing to please people, she just needs the right family to put a little more effort in to giving her some training and enough walkies and play time each day. She is a loveable, cuddle bug ready to go for a brisk walk along the Lakeshore, take a hike at the cottage (yep, she’s that outdoorsy!) and when that’s all done snuggle time on the couch for a movie or evening news. Charlie rarely barks when at home, only letting you know when someone is at the door. Charlie is suitable for apartment living but as Terrier’s can be sensitive to noise around their “territory” we feel Charlie would be much happier in a house with a fenced yard.
