My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 10/6/12: Give a warm welcome to Skye!

Skye was rescued by volunteers. She is 11 months old. She walks great on a leash and is so sweet.

Skye is completely housebroken and crate trained. She absolutely LOVES other animals too. Skye is a wonderful girl, but is considered a special needs dog. She does well in her home environment when she gets used to it, but is very timid when she visits other places. She needs a patient, love home that is willing to work with her on this.

Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this puppy? Fill-out an online adoption application via www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $300 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption.

While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, this pup has been given age-appropriate vaccines, been dewormed and is spayed. Other medical treatments may be provided to puppies, depending upon their specific needs.

In addition, this animal has been microchipped for identification purposes through HomeAgain's® Chip FurKeeps program. Adopters are required to pay the additional one-time,$10.99 microchip registration fee (which lasts the lifetime of the animal) upon adoption.

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
