My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Crash and Boomer are bonded to each other and must be adopted together. These two are absolutely adorable and with very clear, sweet little voices. They will talk to you and love talking to each other. They will imitate animal sounds, dog barks, cat purrs and chicken clucks. They preen each other, feed each other and protect each other. Both are in excellent health, fully feathered and always animated
.
Crash was a wild Quaker that sustained a permanent wing injury 5-6 years ago when he was hit by a car. We don’t know Crash’s age, vet estimates 7-10 years old. Crash won’t come to you unless you have Boomer out first.
Boomer is 4 years old, previous owner purchased him as a baby to be a friend for Crash. Boomer is the tamer one and very sweet when he is away from Crash.

From the cage:
They will both step unto your hand if you drap a hand towel over your hand. I don’t know why they are comfortable with it, but it works really good.
When away from the cage they will both step up on your fingers. They don't have a preference for men or women, they will go to either.
They love taking showers, will sit on the shower perch and enjoy the spray bottle or a little splash from the shower head.
They are good eaters, not too picky. Sometimes they get a little competitive over the food cup. So we'll put in 2 cups one on the other side.
Boomer is the one that likes human interaction. If you take him out alone, you can give him kisses and scratches. Crash doesn't let anyone touch and when they are out together, he tries to position himself between you and Boomer. Both are very good talkers and extremely intelligent. They will say goodbye when they know you're leaving and when you cover them at night, then leave the room.
We have them trained to understand the word "perch" means to go inside their cage. This is a nightly routine for them, they are really good boys.
Boomer is a strong flier, so he will need to get his wings clipped frequently. If you have other birds or animals, he will fly over to them which can be harmful to him. He's a little explorer.
