My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET SADIE. When we first met her we called her Sad Sadie but she is Sad No More. Sadie has just had a dental and now has sparking white teeth. She has white hairs on her eyes brows and chin but she is a young doxie, who will turn 4 November 22. She is healthy despite being used as a breeder The vet confirms she is a young beautiful healthy girl, tho she looks a little older because of the white hairs (stress caused). She is the most loving girl at the Rescue and will be a wonderful addition to your family. She so loves the love and attention she is receiving from all the volunteers. You'll quickly see why she is a volunteer favorite! Happy girl now she has been spayed and gone to the spa for a full makeover. No more continuous puppy producer, without a chance to know and love her own offspring. Instead she will be ever so happy being the number one loved little girl in her new forever home. She has a sweet and loving personality and will be a wonderful happy member of your family.

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $375, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.

Sadie is waiting to meet you. Can you give her a happy, carefree life to this sweetheart? If interested, please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.odr-inc.org and email it to: jrangan@teleport.com - the adoption committee will be in touch with you within 48 hours so please be patient as we are solely volunteer run.
