Rudy's Story...
You can't not like Rudy. You just can't. He's that good. Homeless Pets Foundation took him and 20+ dogs whose S. Carolina shelter had flooded. We're just getting to know him but have so far found him all-around lovable. He needs treatment for heartworm but don't let that little blip on his radar turn you away. Homeless Pets Foundation covers the cost of the pill that will cure him. Heartworm is caused by mosquitoes and is never an issue if owners give their pets a monthly heartworm preventative. Many don't unfortunately. Rudy has no outward symptoms of heartworm and the condition is not contagious. Rudy is around 3 years young and doesn't seem to have had a chance at a good life so far - can you change the course for him? Email or fax an application (found at to 770-971-1292. Or swing by 1343 Gresham Rd, Marietta 30062 (Mon - Thurs 8-8, Fri 8-6) and meet him in person!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudy, a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
