Zeus's Story...
Kids who want dogs need parents who have lots of time on their hands! Zeus' former family thought a dog would complete the picture for them. They got cuddly little Zeus as a wee pup and the kids went wild for him - for a little while that is! After that, mom not only had her kids to watch over but Zeus to raise and care for as well. Somebody had to go and though little Johnny had always been a trouble-maker - it was Zeus who ended up getting the boot. Zeus is full of life and ready to be the center of attention. He's just 6 months old, intelligent and trainable. He's got lots of energy and needs an outlet. He enjoys playing with other dogs too. We haven't cat tested him yet but since he's such a youngster, figure you (or your cat) could teach him to leave cats alone. Contact adoptions@homelesspets.com for more information or fax an application (found at homelesspets.com/adoptions) to 770-971-1292. Or come meet Zeus at 1343 Gresham Rd, Marietta (Mon-Thurs 8-8, Fri 8-6).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Marietta German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Marietta, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
