My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PANDA Bear is a very exquisite looking girl with a mask of black around each eye. She is simply dazzling in person. She has black legs and white feet like mittens.

She is as sweet as she is gorgeous - not something you can say about everyone!

This girl is about 3 years old (give or take), about 50 lbs. We believe she is a lab/pit bull mix (which contrary to popular belief make the most wonderful dogs!)

Panda is housebroken but has no problems being crated if you'd prefer. She walks fine on a leash.

She is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed; she tested positive for heartworm is undergoing her treatment; she will be available to travel at any time now but will require a follow up HW screen in six weeks time from 6/21/2007 when she began treatment.

She's a little "head shy" meaning someone probably hit her but she is very affectionate regardless. We can test her with children if you'd like; we can cat test but we've learned it really depends more on the cat than the dog sometimes!

Panda is currently boarding in a vet clinic in Memphis, TN and we will not be able to transport her to our area until we have an approved, committed adopter. We are a part of a network of rescuers that work to help the dogs in the Memphis, TN area. Prior to rescue help a year ago, over 80% of the dogs that were in the shelter were euthanized within their first 5 days. We've now placed over 250 dogs with excellent results!
