Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gracie is a sweet 1 year old (DOB 7/2011) black female with natural ears. Her previous owners could not take care of her because of relocating. Gracie is good with children over the age of 8. She has been socialized with other Danes and a large yellow lab. Gracie has made so many positive strides since entering her current foster home. She went from not knowing any commands and not knowing how to walk with a leash to now knowing sit, stay and paw as well as doing very well with her daily walks on a leash. She is very trainable when presented with food. She is very timid at first but loves any kind of attention. We have been working on her fear of men and she is getting a lot better approaching them and not avoiding. Gracie loves being around other dogs and does well with cats. She will make a great loyal companion for any home. Gracie came to MAGDRL in May 2012.
Update 8/23/12 - Gracie is continuing to do well in her foster home. With some trial and error, Gracie is now on Science Diet dog food and will need to stay on this. We tried other dog foods and they didn't agree with her. Although Gracie was not food driven before, she is definitely now. She now knows sit and working on "stay" and "wait". She waits very patiently for her food until I say "ok", too. She loves her foster brother and will have to have another dog in the adoptive home. She takes her cues and gets her confidence from him. She continues to love playing with toys and chewing on bones.
