Ferdinand's Story...
Meet Ferdinand, the Bulldog/Boxer Mix He is very loving, quick learner, great dog park dog, completely house trained, crate trained, good with cats (will chase if they run but just wants to smell them), dogs (he is vocal and plays hard). Ferd knows sit, stay, be easy, down, with me (heal), back, stop and will get into the tub by himself to get his bath. He is good with kids both young and old, but is strong and will knock them down if they are bouncy with him.

He walks well on a leash with a gentle leader head harness. He loves the swimming pool, he can but does not want to swim but loves to stand on the steps and cool off, then he is ready to play some more. Rides wonderfully in the car. While you are fixing his food he will go and wait in his kennel with out being told.

He will also lick every bit of lotion that you have put on off no matter how long it takes. Lives with two female bulldogs, 1 male boxer, a cat, Amazon bird, and Grandchildren who come and go constantly. All Ferd wants is to be with his humans.

Please note, this is not a Big Bully Rescue dog, this is a courtesy post for Ferdinand’s rescuer.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ferdinand, a Phoenix American Bulldog/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Boxer for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a American Bulldog/Boxer dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Boxer breeders who help with American Bulldog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
