And of course all the nice people at PetSmart will be glad to help you adopt me here at the store. At Altered Feral State, we work with feral cat colonies.

All of our kittens were removed from the colonies and completely socialized when they are less than 8 weeks old. We don't offer them for adoption until they have been tested, vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Our adoption fee of $100.00 only covers a very small portion of our costs, but to us, it's all about finding the best home for these wonderful

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miles, a Monroe Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
