Lizzy's Story...
I am a darling Boston Terrier mix named Lizzy. Unfortunately I have found myself in a shelter looking for a new life since my last family returned me for being too shy. I am a sweet girl who would benefit from a bit more socialization, structure and training. I am bit unsure when I first meet you, but I warm up pretty quick. Then my true colors shine! I am a real sweetie but because there is not a lot known about my history I will need to find a home with children 5+. I do well with other dogs and I did well meeting the kitty cats. I am clean and quiet and I crate trained. 8 months old-20lbs. My adoption fee is $250 and includes; current shots, spay, microchip, 5 week Good Manners training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam (SE Porltand/Milwaukie area) , leash/collar, toy & Treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizzy, a Portland Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
