My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rose is a young and sweet little girl. Only about three months old and around five pounds right now, she will grow to be maybe 10 pounds at the most we think. Though she may not look much like a Shih Tzu, we rescued a litter of a Shih Tzu/terrier pairing and her fur and tail are exactly the same as those pups so that is our best guess at her mix.

Rose was brought to a shelter just yesterday by her family who could not keep her. She is a happy-go-lucky little thing with a larger-than-her-tiny-size zest for life. She loves everyone and has a great sense of self. Her fur is surprisingly therapeutic to pet as it has the lusciousness of a Shih Tzu, just not the length.

Being a pup, Rose will need to be watched to insure she is completely housetrained. However, she had not had any accidents in her crate (which she does amazingly well in for both travel and sleep), and won't even potty in her play pen. So she is well on her way to being housetrained.

Too young to be on a lead in public, she needs just a little work with good leash walking and she'll be a pro. She gets along great with other dogs and was afraid of our cat so cats are definitely not an issue.

Rose will be spayed within the coming week and ready to go to a new home right after that.
