Just about everything in our human world is bigger than our little Ireland. She's a mere 7 pounds. We don't think Ireland has had much exposure to our world. As such just about everything is scary to her and makes our tiny girl shake. We are working with her and we've already seen how playful and affectionate this little one can be with just a little patience. Once she is comfortable she is quite a ham! Running and pouncing, doing figure eights, all with a big smile on her face, just as happy as she can be! So with regular exposure to things we have no doubt that our timid girl will blossom into a social butterfly!
Ireland is young and small but don't that that fool you! She still needs daily exercise. A walk around the block won't be enough for this youngster. She'll need at least 20-30 minutes of walks or jogs in the morning and plenty of playtime throughout the day, along with toys and maybe another young canine friend to help keep her occupied too.
Large daily doses of snuggle time are an absolute must for this cuddle-bug for sure! She loves to be in your lap, to be held and snuggled with. Her little eyes shut contently while you pet her as she gently falls off to sleep.
Ireland will need a patient home that is looking to take on a puppy and all that they require. Ireland is a quick learner with a big heart. She is eager to become a part of a loving family that she can lavish all her love on and be her playful self! Fill out an application for her today at www.azrescue.org.
Ireland weighed 7.1 pounds when we saved her from the kill list.
