My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sally is a very affectionate, happy and energetic dog. She loves people, loves cuddling, and a great little companion. She is active outside but is calm and quiet in the house enjoying being with people and just hanging out. She is a small dog weighing just under 20 lbs and is approximately a year old.

Here is what else her foster family had to say:

Sally enjoys playing with her toys, going for walks, looking out the window and relaxing with you. Sally is a great companion to keep you exercising. Once she has had her exercise she loves her downtime too. She is the biggest sweetheart and loves everybody she meets. She is a fast learner and very attentive. She is independent but also loves her play dates with other dogs. She’s a good listener, and she likes to chill with her family. Also, Sally is quite the entertainer, she likes to chase her tail and show off how she can roll around. Overall, Sally is a wonderful companion and would make a great addition to any family.

Sally is a very sociable dog. She loves everyone she meets. She enjoys meeting new people and gets along with generally anyone. She is a young dog and still learning not to nip when playing so she may need some training before joining a family with young children. She loves meeting new people and being the centre of attention. She also loves when you play with her toys with her, like playing fetch or tug-of-war.

Sally has been to the dog park a few times and really enjoys playing with dogs her size. She also enjoys big dogs but as long as they don’t lunge at her because she gets scared. She is currently living with two young cats (the cats haven’t been around many dogs) and both animals are still a bit confused, but they are adapting to each other and keeping their space but are becoming comfortable with each other.

Sally cries for a bit when I leave but like any normal dog who misses their mommy. She relaxes in her crate, or if my roommates are home on the couch with them. She has no problem being in her crate. Sally recently learned her name, to come and to stop (if she is chewing something or being bad). She is getting better at walking on a leash and learning how to heel and she is still learning to sit and lay down. She is fully house trained. She will let you know when she has to go outside. At night in her crate she will whine until she is brought outside and during the day if she is loose in the house she will stand by the door until she is brought outside.

Sally loves her walks where she can go and sniff every tree and fire hydrant, but she also loves her downtime where she can relax with her family. Sally has a lot of energy, but if she gets a decent walk in she can also be chill and relaxed. I would say her energy level varies, but overall it is moderate.

Sally doesn’t shed that much. She is a very healthy girl with pearly white teeth and a shiny coat.

Sally is surprisingly well-behaved and a very friendly dog. She makes a great companion and a dog no one could say no to. She even smiles! She would be best for anyone who is willing to work a bit with her little knowledge on commands, but being a fast-learner and a good listener she will be well-trained and obedient in no time. Sally deserves someone who is going to care for her as she will them. Sally also gets a lot of compliments on how gorgeous she is.

If you think Sally would be a good addition to your family, please submit an application for consideration.
