Apollo's Story...
My name is Apollo, and I am a male Beagle mix puppy born about June 2, 2012. I am full of life and playfulness now, but not so long ago I was so malnourished I developed rickets. My sisters and I were a part of an abuse and neglect case and we were in pretty bad shape, but our foster mom took us in and nursed us back to health. I am a rambunctious little man who loves to play hard as you can see from my photo.

If you would like to meet me, I will be at the AARF adoption fair on Saturday, September 15th for the first time. I will be there at 311 Harvey Street from noon until 4 PM. Think I would be a perfect addition to your family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Apollo, a Winston-Salem Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
